Mazagran (Algerian Iced Coffee)

Mazagran (), also called Café Mazagran, is an iced coffee from Algeria. Often deemed the original iced coffee, mazagran originated from a city in Algeria with the same name.

Ingredients

• Ice cubes
• 1 cup brewed black coffee
• Freshly-squeezed lemon juice
• Sugar or other sweetener
• 1 lemon slice or wedge (optional)

Steps

1. Fill a tall, narrow glass with the ice cubes.
2. Pour the coffee over the ice.
3. Add the lemon juice and sugar to taste.
4. Add the lemon slice or wedge as a final touch if desired.
